DC motors from STM UK offer a wide choice of powers, voltages and speeds with standard IEC flange and shaft. Permanent magnet and wound motors are available.

DC motors are identifiable by their high start torque. This means they can cope with heavy loads at start-up and offer a torque/speed ratio to suit your workload. High workloads and kickbacks of variable loads are accommodated with DC motors.

STM UK is proud to offer the EC motors series of DC motors which are very sturdy and compact, feature high quality balancing and operate at minimal noise levels.

The magnetic field in these motors is generated by permanent magnets. They are tubular and fan-less, require a low voltage power supply and power ratings available span from 30 to 800 W S2.

STM UK electric motors convert electrical energy into mechanical energy – when current flows through a conductor inside a magnetic field, it is subjected to a force proportional to the intensity of the current and the field. Our DC motors enable you to create a current with permanent magnets inside the motors or by auxiliary windings functioning as electromagnets.

Therefore STM UK DC motors do not require any external power supply and battery life is long. Overheating is unlikely due to operational efficiency.
